About Me

A look at my journey from the Southeast U.S. to New Zealand and back, blending tech, travel, and life’s unexpected turns.

I grew up in Northeast Georgia and Western North Carolina before packing up and moving to New Zealand in my early twenties. What started as an adventure turned into something even bigger—I met my wife and became a stepdad to two incredible kids.
My path into tech wasn’t exactly planned, but once I got my foot in the door, I never looked back. I landed a role at a Kiwi company called Fraedom as an IT Support Technician. That first taste of the tech world had me hooked, and I’ll never forget where I got my start. Eventually, Fraedom was acquired by Visa, which led to a brief detour elsewhere before I was asked to return—this time as a System Engineer. One of my biggest projects was leading the migration of Fraedom’s users onto Visa’s systems, a full-circle moment that reinforced my love for bridging people and technology.
Fast forward a few years—our youngest, my stepdaughter, wrapped up college and started university. My wife, who had been running a bakery for 20 years, was ready for something new. So in 2023, we made another big move, this time to Austin, where I took on a role at Visa as the Mac Experience Manager.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on a trail somewhere with my dog, Luna. She’s been my rock through all the ups and downs of moving, career shifts, and navigating my wife's immigration process. I also mess around with photography—nothing too serious, just a way to capture moments and share a few of my favorite shots here.
